As per SEBI’s (a government regulatory authority) new guidelines, it is now mandatory to provide additional details of your nominated person (nominee). Without updating this information, you will not be allowed to make any new investments. This step has been taken by SEBI to ensure that your investments can be smoothly transferred to your nominee in the future, without any procedural hurdles.
